Protecting members' rights by securing/ creating a fairer music and creative industry:

We will objectively oppose exploitation through our union solidarity;

Our work will be compensated fairly;

We will advocate to maximize the benefits of all decisions that affect us;

We will have the opportunity to develop our talents and skills;

Through democracy our collective voice and power will be realized in a progressive union;

To achieve these objectives, we must commit to:

Honoring the standards and expectations we collectively set for ourselves in pursuit of that vision, supporting and following the constitution;

Actively participating in the democratic processes of our union.

With unity, we must demonstrate our power and determination to:

Organize unorganized musicians, extending to them the gains of unionism while securing control over our industry sectors and labor markets;

Build coalitions and act in solidarity with other organizations who share our concern for social and economic justice.
JFMAU AT A GLANCE
The Jamaica Federation of Musicians was established in 1958. In 2017, the Union underwent re-registration and a name change to become the Jamaica Federation of Musicians and Affiliates Union (JFMAU), solidifying its dedication to representing affiliates in Jamaica.
Additionally, the organization amalgamated several of its bylaws, rights, rules, and regulations to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.

Our organization is dedicated to safeguarding the rich tradition of live music in Jamaica , and fostering its growth and sustainability for years to come. Our mission is to protect the rights and interests of our members by establishing a more equitable music and creative industry for all individuals involved.
